College of the Mainland to host ceremonial groundbreaking, ribbon cutting and open house for new learning facilities on Friday, April 30
WHO: College of the Mainland will be Laying the Foundation for the Future alongside local elected officials, COM leadership, community partners, students, faculty and staff during a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Industrial Careers Building, as well as a ribbon cutting and open house for the new state-of-the-art STEAM and Administration buildings.
WHAT: Guests will have an opportunity to explore COM’s new Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) and Administration buildings, made possible through the 2018 Bond Program. These buildings signify the college’s tremendous progress and innovation as we work to better serve the growing needs of our students and community. Public tours, program demonstrations and light refreshments will be available.

2 p.m. – Ceremonial ribbon cutting for STEAM and Administration buildings, groundbreaking presentation for Industrial Careers Building with remarks from local leaders
3 p.m. – Open house and building tours
